A Letter for Time before the present thats not quite the past...

Dear Friend…

I write to from a place of understanding, perspective and contentment in my own mind. Your first year has not only been an outward journey but an inward introspective one of learning and maturing. There are countless lessons that you will take with throughout your life from one of the most life altering experiences you have been through, but perhaps the most important are those lessons are the ones that involve your more vulnerable self, lessons of the heart.

For the first time you truly found that someone to connect with and when you had to leave, you couldn't’t say good-bye. Was it a mistake? Probably, but one more worthwhile than you can imagine. Did it hurt? It felt like your insides were being ripped out and heart shattered in a million pieces. Were your actions rational? No, but neither are emotions so deeply felt. I look at a girl who was scared, who was alone, who didn’t know how to fix the damage her good intentions had caused, who wanted nothing more than her dream, her ideology to become a reality. You learnt how to truly Love, how to hurt and finally how to let go.
Retrospectively, don’t just hear what you want to hear but truly listen. Think with your head and your heart, your emotions are irrational and at times foolish, think things through before taking any actions you might regret later. When you know better but your emotions control the show -Breath-. Finally let go and move on, you lost a friend, a lover, a person you were too afraid to loose, but you didn’t loose yourself. The year has been one for growing, maturing and learning. He was the first thought of love you have ever had, it was special and unique, probably the most important. Cherish it, and learn for the next...
dolce amor’.
Looking forward to our future
